I'm reading some great news over at ESPN.com/Boston. It's reported that the Gnat has signed a 2-year $5M dollar deal. I'm absolutely stoked about this deal. Only a $2.5M cap hit!? I really thought the B's were going to overpay him for that playoff performance.
This is a good deal for both sides. The Gnat is obviously a cocky son of a gun, so there is no way he thinks his play is going to drop off. If he's right, in two years he'll hit the market and get his money.
The Bruins were smart in not offering too many years or too much money. This was Marchy's first year in the league, which is no where near enough data to offer a large contract extension.
Boston Puckheads should be very excited about this, he's back and he's not missing any training camp. Think he's celebrating tonight??

great signing. the bruins' front office has gone from the butt of every joke in boston sports media to a model for building a franchise that is successful now AND built for the future. chia, i think everyone owes u an apology.
